Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron, 2nd Growth, Grand Cru Classe 2011

Has a dense ruby color, silky tannins and no hard edges. Medium-bodied and well-endowed, shows a taut feel for now, with lots of cassis and blackberry fruit, lined with iron and bramble notes. Dark and well-toasted yet integrated overall with an ample core of dark, fleshy fruit.

Region Info/Origin

Pauillac is home to several of the world's most famous wine and the region lies in an inauspicious small village in Médoc. Pauillac sprawls over the land size of about 8.8 square miles, is highly optimised for wine production and accounts for a rather disproportionate amount of fine, expensive wine in Bordeaux.
