689 Cellars was founded by Curtis McBride with a simple vision—to craft exceptional California wines that bring people together. After years of introducing California wines to international markets, Curtis partnered with longtime friend and renowned Napa Valley winemaker Kent Rasmussen to create wines that are approachable, expressive, and made to be shared. Inspired by their travels through Asia, the winery takes its name from the numbers 6, 8, and 9, symbols of happiness, prosperity, and longevity. These values, combined with Curtis's global perspective and Kent's decades of winemaking expertise, define the spirit of 689 Cellars—producing wines to be enjoyed wherever good people gather.
