Chateau Duhart-Milon, 4th Growth, Grand Cru Classe 2011

Intense colour with hints of purple.
Initially characterized by woodiness, the nose then presents a beautiful expression of red fruit, tobacco and spicy notes. Elegant and fresh on the palate. Fine structure, density and length with a complex fruity finish.

Winery Info/Brand

Since the acquisition by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) from the Castéja family in 1962, the vineyards had gone through an overhaul and the chais renovated. Added to the finishing touch was the 40-year effort that reclaimed the Médoc 4th growth wine ranking for its Château Duhart-Milon.

Region Info/Origin

Pauillac is home to several of the world's most famous wine and the region lies in an inauspicious small village in Médoc. Pauillac sprawls over the land size of about 8.8 square miles, is highly optimised for wine production and accounts for a rather disproportionate amount of fine, expensive wine in Bordeaux.
