In this area, Izadi plants tempranillo on lime clay soils. With the microclimate influence from the Cantabria mountains and the Ebro river, it assures low yield and small grapes but with great quality. Region Info/Origin

La Rioja is a province in northern Spain with a renowned local wine industry. Below the Cantabrian Mountains, vineyards occupy the Ebro valley and surround the old town of Haro, where the summer festival features a messy "wine battle." The local wineries range from small to traditional cellars and Marques de Riscal in neighboring Euskadi, which has distinct steel architecture by Frank Gehry. The vineyard has freshly grown grape varieties including Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Garnacha, Albariño and the usual prominent Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Some of these grapes are used in the wine blend to create a different yet unique flavoured wine for enjoyment. Pick out the notes full of fruits, underwood and spices.
