The Famous Grouse Story started as a humble grocery store before moving to Atholl Street and changing to a wines and spirits business. Over the years with change in hand of ownership, The Grouse first came to the fore in 1896.  Later was renamed "The Famous Grouse" in 1905, the same year Scotch brand of whisky boomed.  Founded with the simple vision to create the best quality blended whisky, the Famous Grouse is now known across the globe for it and has been Scotland's favourite for over 40 years.
