In 1966, Petula Garcia , a rich Brazilian woman inherits a country house called Marrenon in a forest, located in the heart of the Luberon mountain.

Enchanted by the landscapes, she decides to live there and invites her numerous friends from around the world to visit her and to discover this rather unknown corner of Provence.

She then organises numerous parties and asks friends wine-growers to bottle a cuvée that she signs in the name of Marrenon. Now Marrenon has grown into a union with 2,000 winegrowers on a 8,500-hectare of land and it has reached a global production of 470,000 Hl. Sold in 25 countries in Asia, Canada, Eastern, Western and Northern Europe, the export represents 45% of the company's turnover.

Three mountain ranges from west to east: the Little Luberon, the Big Luberon and the Oriental Luberon are situated in the middle of Provence in the far south of France. The valleys from north and south comprise a number of towns and villages as well as agricultural land.
