Winery Info/Brand
Myers’s is one of a relatively few rums in which some of the molasses from which it is produced is added back into the final product after distillation. Although most rums are in fact distilled from molasses, this post-distillation addition is uncommon and adds a very distinctive colour, aroma, and taste to the rum.
Region Info/Origin
Jamaican rums are defiantly individual, full and pungent. They are aromatic and rich, produced using pot stills.. Distilled in pot stills with loony levels of esters, their pungency can take a little getting used to, but behind this are lots of ripe bananas and pineapple notes. Also referred to as the Wedderburn style.
