La Massa Giorgio Primo IGT 2013

The bouquet peels back with dark fruit aromas, baking spice and Mediterranean herb. The effect is seamless and smooth. Mulberry and plum aromas and flavors are backed by earth, spice and tobacco notes in this dense red. Tails off a little on the finish.

Winery Info/Brand

Fattoria La Massa is situated in the heart of Panzano in Chianti where the tradition of producing Chianti wine happened there since the 15th century. When Giampaolo Motta acquired the property in 1992, he emphasised on careful selection of grapes and soft extraction from the fermentation and maceration processes. The wine are then matured in oak for about 7 to 8 months, ensuring full polymerisation of the phenolic components to provide complexity and elegance.
